20 TOP MAKEUP MISTAKES YOU PROBABLY DON'T KNOW ABOUT

Hi guys, I'm back again, and this time, I'm going to be giving you guys 20 common makeup mistakes you probably don't know about and having been doing. I've seen people wear makeup the wrong way and to them, it looks kinda normal .I must say when I was doing researches on this topic, I was so shocked that I was a victim to some of these mistakes so yeah, no matter how good you are in doing makeup, there is always a mistake you would definitely fall a victim too.
so here are the mistakes.....
TOP 20 COMMON MAKEUP MISTAKES

1. WEARING THE WRONG FOUNDATION SHADE. Foundation isn't suppose to make you look lighter or tan, its meant to even out all your face imperfections and blend into your skin like you were born that way. I will advice that whenever you are purchasing foundation, try it out on your jawline and not your hands to get the best result.
2. SHADING YOUR BROWS TOO DARK . Go for a shade lighter than your natural hair color to touch up the brows. Using a brow pencil or brow pomade that is as dark as your natural brow color will make it look too heavy or intense.
3. USING EXPIRED MAKEUP. Just like the way food and drinks have expiring date, so do makeup. If you've had makeup for a very long time, just throw it away, don't worry, new ones will come in future. Besides, you don't need to keep or use expired makeup products, it will destroy your skin
4. INTENSE HIGHLIGHT AND CONTOUR ...I love highlighting and contouring but at its minimal. people do this the wrong way every time. If you're dark, you'll wanna go for medium to highlight, if you're medium , you'll want to go for light and if your light , you'll want to go for extra light. You can't be dark and use light to highlight, that's crazy and funny. Also, don't use really dark shades to contour. you'll want to use dark shades that compliment your skin complexion
5. CONCEALER LINES ON THE EYEBROWS. This is really common among girls who are still learning how to draw their brows and even some makeup artist do this too and its not cute. Avoid the concealer lines as much as possibles. Make sure you blend your concealer well without smudging your brows. I recommend using a concealer shade that is your exact shade for your brows and then highlighting the under the brow bone with a lighter shade.
6. USING DIRTY BRUSHES.. Some of us might be very ignorant about makeup hygiene. Always make sure your brushes are washed at most 2-3 times a month. Dirty brushes abhor germs and dirt and might lead to irritation on the face.
7. APPLYING MAKEUP ON THE FACE ONLY. Yes applying makeup on the face only is the most commonest makeup mistake evveeerrrrr. Its like creating a face mask on your face but in a very natural way. Makeup should not be applied on the face only. It should be extended to the ears and down to the neck too.
8. OVER POWDERING. I know we all want to look matte but sometimes we gat to melo down a little bit. Over powdering can lead to a caky face. Just pat on little powder on your face especially on your T-zone i.e where you tend to get oily.
9. USING TOO MUCH FOUNDATION. Foundation is used to even out the skin only not to cover spots, thats the job of a concealer. Packing on alot of foundation on the face to cover spots is wrong. you'll end up wasting foundtaion on nothing
10. PUMPING YOUR MASCARA. I know sometimes, we think we want to get more use out of our favoirite mascara by pumiping it in and out but its wrong. Instead of getting more use out of it, we are drying the formula out which makes it finish on time.
11. APPLYING MAKEUP IMMEDIATELY AFTER MOISTURIZING. The thought of even putting moisturizer on the face is a no no for some people especially with the oily skin. Always moturise the face and leave it fpor about 5-10 minutes before putting on makeup. This helps the moturizer stick into the skin and let your makeup come out flawless.
12.  Curling your lashes with a lash curler after putting on mascara
13.  USING THE WRONG PRIMER FOR THE WRONG FOUNDATION. if your foundation is water based, then youll want to go for a water based primer nopt a silicon based primer. 
14. OVER DRAMATIC CAT EYES WITH EYELINER.. except you are a model on the runway, you cant be walking round like its NYFW
15. FORGETTING TO PRIME... Always make sure to take the neccessary steps to prime the skin before makeup application. After moturising, make sure to apply primer on the face before putting on your foundation. This helps the make lasts longer.
16. APPLYING TOO MUCH BLUSH. I'm not a fan of blush so I dont put it at all except occassionally. try applying little blush on the cheeks. Over applying blush might make you look like a ...I cant even think of a word
17.  APPLYING MATTE LIPSTICKS ON A DRY SKIN. I know matte lips is what is trending now but theres nothing wrong in exfoliating the lips to kill dead cells and applying little lip balm on to nourish it. this helps to prevent your lips from breaking when applying matte lipsticks
18. WEARING BULKY FALSE LASHES.. (except you want to be a witch, then you are good to go..lol). Try wearing lashes that are not too big but meduim to moderate for a more natural look..\(the world doesnt need to know you are on falsies).
19. WEARING LIP LINER THAT IS TOO DARK. Guerlain celebrity makeup artist Marcus Monson says the key to blending ypur liner perfectly is choosing one thats just one sahde darker or brighter than your natural lip color
20. GETTING YOUR CONCEALER SHADE WRONG. Using 2 or 3 shades lighter than your founadtion to cover your spots is very wrong. This just helps to draw more attention to what you're covering. When it comes to covering spots on the face, try using a color corrector like an orange corrector or peach color tthis helps to cover blemishes and imperfection.
